Our informal group meets in the Wesley Smith Reading Room in Stokenham Parish Hall on the first Tuesday of the month (excepting August and January). We still try to help individuals researching their families and answer queries about the houses and farms that they may have lived in. Members of the Group are very active at the Cookworthy Museum Research centre and can direct researchers towards archive materials and local records. The Stokenham and Huccombe School log books from the 19th Century have been digitised and are available at Genuki; they make fascinating reading.

Most of the members are now engaged in their own small research projects and the progress of these are reported at meetings. The group is currently very small and we would certainly welcome new members.
