The main road will be closed through East Charleton between 9am and 3.30pm every day from Monday 7 October for up to 4 days while National Grid install a new supply at Home Farm Barns. Diversions will be signposted, but this is likely to cause major disruption so residents are advised to time their journeys to avoid the daytime closure period.

We are writing to inform you that South West Water has applied for a road closure to complete utility works outside Meadowside, Dunstone cross to Batton farm. These works, subject to approval from Devon Highways, will take place between 23/10/2023 to 31/10/2023.

A379 ROAD CLOSURE

Essential flood alleviation works at the junction of Coleridge Lane in Chillington will result in the closure of the A379 between Coleridge Lane and Homestead from Monday 7 February for approximately 10 days. The road will be closed weekdays only.

DIVERSION ROUTE
The published diversion route for through traffic is via Totnes Cross.

SHUTTLE BUS
Shuttle buses will run either side of the closure per the timetable below.

OFF-PEAK TAXI
In addition, an off-peak taxi service will run from Chillington to Kingsbridge, via Stokenham and Torcross, with a subsidized fare of £1 each way. This service must be booked 24 hours in advance – see details below.
